MEDICOLEGAL:
PHILIPPA C. JACKSON
Philippa has a long-standing interest in how the legal system and our ethical frameworks interface with clinicians treating patients. She has fed this interest by working at the Medical Protection Society while at medical school and intercalating in Healthcare Ethics and Law during her medical degree. After qualifying Philippa stayed abreast the changes to UK law by reading relevant literature from the British Medical Association and Medical Protection Society.
In 2018 Philippa became a substantive consultant Plastic Surgeon at North Bristol NHS Trust specialising in breast reconstruction. She started medicolegal work in 2021 and thus far has worked exclusively on behalf of the claimant in both Condition and Prognosis reports, and Medical Negligence reports.
Client examinations can be held face to face at Litfield House Medical Centre, Bristol or online using FaceTime or Whatsapp.
Please note Philippa does not do home visits or prison visits.
